ESTEPONA

Estepona is located in the western part of the Costa del Sol at the foot of the majestic mountain range Sierra Bermeja. It is undoubtedly one of the beach resorts of this coast which has been least influenced by mass tourism and has retained the original ambience of an Andalusian fishing village.

In the narrow streets you will find numerous bars and taverns where traditional tapas (Spanish snacks) will be served, but of course there are also many souvenir shops and formal restaurants. Between the old town and the beach of La Rada beach there is the Paseo Maritimo, with numerous Chiringuitos, the typical beach restaurants where excellent fresh fish is served.

At the western end of the beach promenade you reach the marina, Estepona Marina, where not only you may admire the great yachts, but will also find many restaurants and cafes.

In the evening, the port becomes the center of nightlife thanks to the numerous discos and nightclubs. West of the marina there is the fishing port, more of a tip for early birds: here you can either buy fresh fish, or at least watch the world go on the market.

On the beaches around Estepona you will find many hotels, usually of better categories, surrounded by large green areas. In the old town itself there are more basic hotels and hostels. Estepona is also a center for golf players, within a radius of only 15 kilometers there are no fewer than four golf courses: Estepona Golf, Los Almendros, Los Flamingos Golf and Atalaya.
