Salvador Dalí used to live for years in room 110, and also Ava Gardner, Frank Sinatra and Ernest Hemingway stayed here. This great hotel, a work of the architect Eduardo Ferres Puig, was inaugurated in 1919, and its façade, the marble floors and the huge crystal chandeliers have remained untouched since then. The Tower of Bruce Graham "avant-garde with great views"

At Barcelona's Port Olimpic, next to the metal fish of Frank O. Gehry, stands this 154 meters high tower of steel and glass, one of the most remarkable examples of avant-garde architecture. It was designed by Bruce Graham, also responsible for the Sears Tower in Chicago. The ultra-modern and unusual style is continued into the hotel rooms.

The facade of this hotel, which is located in a modernist building from 19th century in the district "Barrio de L'Eixample", is illuminated each night. So far, so good, that's nothing unusual. Unusual is, however, that the hotel guests decide on the color of the lighting. Depending on their mood which they enter into a computer system, the color of the countless lamps changes.
