CONIL DE LA FRONTERA

Originally founded as a Phoenician fishing village, the town of Conil acquired glory in the time of the Roman Empire, when it formed part of the Via Herculea.

Conil is a nice white village with some quite interesting monuments. Nevertheless the main attraction here are its splendid beaches with a total length of approximately 14 km.

"Playa de la Fontanilla" is a huge sandy beach is located just in front of the town. It is exposed to the winds and so usually has quite strong waves. It is the only beach of Conil disposing of access for disabled and of rental of sunbeds. There is also a large parking area.

"Playa de los Bateles" Foto lonely, breezy and clean. Semi-wild state and located near the mouth of the Rio Salado. It is exposed to strong winds and waves are quite strong. Due to its enormous length even in August you will find lonely areas, some of which are frequented by nudists.

"Playa de Cabo Roche" Foto has beautiful golden sand with an average width of 40 m, along it there are a few luxury villas.

"Calas de Roche" Foto are five small and charming coves located between the port of Conil and the Playa de Cabo Roche. These are well protected from the winds and usually frequented by nudists.

"Cala del Aceite" Foto is cove surrounded by cliffs and protected from the winds. It is notable for its golden sands, crystal clear water and the characteristic reddish cliffs especially beautiful at sunset.

"Playa de Castilnovo" Foto is situated in a rural area and, as it is difficult to reach, you may find it quite lonely even in August. It is a great place for wind surfing and fishing. Nudism is practiced too.
