BENIDORM

Benidorm is one of the best known and busiest tourist resorts in the entire Mediterranean. In 1950 nothing more than a small fishing village, it developed within 10 years into an impressive metropolis of tourism and leisure entertainment.

Benidorm is a city of superlatives: here, there are more skyscrapers per capita than in any other city in the world Foto, and the range of leisure and entertainment facilities is simply unimaginable. Benidorm receives every year millions of visitors which are attracted by the excellent beaches and vibrant nightlife.

The two large beaches ahead of Benidorm, Playa de Levante and Playa de Poniente, are separated by a rock formation called the "Balcony of the Mediterranean". On its top, thre is a view point Foto.

Both are wiede beaches with fine sand and they are very clean and neat. They are surrounded by palm trees and a lively beach promenade with restaurants, cafes and pubs.

These beaches are regularly awarded with the "blue flag" of the European Union, due to their cleanliness and excellent facilities.

Between these two large beaches of Benidorm there is the small bay of Cala Mal Pas, with fine golden sand, which is usually less crowded.

Directly opposite to it there is the Island of Benidorm, whose beautiful underwater world attracts many divers. But one can also discover it on outings with panoramic boats from Benidorm.

From Benidorm there are as well ships to the island Tabarca and to Santa Pola.
Night Life
The entertainment offer of Benidorm is huge and has something for every age and every interest. You find countless bars, restaurants of all nationalities and price levels, and bustling nightclubs.

Many clubs specialize in certain music styles, and some of them regularly organize mega events with well-known international DJs.

No matter what you feel like, live music, games, show programs, night clubs - only the available holiday budget may limit your possibilities.
Leisure Parks
Terra Mitica: one of the largest theme parks in Spain which deals with the historical high cultures of the Mediterranean; Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Iberians, ...

Aqualandia: a water park with giant slides and many other attractions.

Mundomar: this theme park is dedicated to the observation of the animal world, with sea lions, dolphins and parrots.
