COSTA DE LA LUZ: How to get there

By plane:
The nearest airports for visiting the part of the Costa de la Luz which belongs to the province of Huelva are Seville (SVQ) and Faro in Portugal (FAO). Here are the distances from those airports to the most popular destinations:

Huelva can be easily reached on the highway "Autopista del Quinto Centenario" (toll free), it is locared 90 km from Sevilla and 45 km from Portugal. From Huelva you get to the beaches using regional roads.
Cadiz can also be reached by highway (toll) from Seville. Alternatively, you can take the national road Carretera Nacional IV.
It is recommended that you rent a car already before beginning your travel, as at the airport you may be charged considerably more. Here you find car rentals at very low rates.
By train:
Huelva is connected to all Spanisch province-capitals by train (three trains daily from Seville), to Madrid also by the high-speed train AVE (once per day). However, to get to the nearby beaches you will have to take a bus from Huelva.
Also Cadiz is connected by train to all Spanisch province-capitals, from Cadiz there are connections to Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María, San Fernando, and Algeciras.
By bus:
From Huelva there are bus-connections to Ayamonte (6.5 km from Isla Canela), Isla Cristina, Lepe (7.5 km from Islantilla), El Rompido (5.5 km frp, Nuevo Portil), Punta Umbría and Matalascañas. From Seville there is a direct connection to Matalascañas.
From Cadiz you can get by bus to Rota, El Puerto de Santa María, Jerez de la Frontera, Chiclana, Conil de La Frontera, Zahara de Los Atunes and Tarifa.
